Cold Brew Coffee Makers
Large batch cold brew, no filter bags
Every cold brew coffee maker on this page brews by the gallon. Each Cold Brew Avenue system is a 304 brewer's grade stainless steel vessel with a filter, ball valve and hose barb made of the same steel. Add coarse grounds and water and let it steep. When it's ready, connect the included silicone hose and open the valve. Filtered cold brew drains straight into a keg for nitro on draft, or into whatever you serve from, as ready-to-drink coffee or concentrate.
The filter also keeps running costs down. It rinses clean and goes back in, so there are no nylon bags or paper filters to keep buying, and no bags to tear.
Sizes run from 5.5 gallons, small enough for home use or test batches, up to 50 gallons for coffee shops, restaurants and bars.
Which cold brew maker fits you
- 5.5 gallon: our smallest system. It suits home brewing, small-volume service, and test batches of new beans and ratios before you scale up.
- 15, 30 and 50 gallon: for coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Pick the size closest to what you go through between brew days.
- Standard or Deluxe: same vessel and filter. Deluxe adds a thermometer and bulkhead fitting.
- Hive Cafe 3 and Cafe 6 (TORR Industries): rapid cold drip brewers that finish in 20 to 45 minutes and filter themselves. The Cafe 3 holds 3 pounds of coffee and makes 1.1 gallons of concentrate or 4 gallons ready to drink per batch.
- Brew Bomb X45 and X60: high-yield cold drip systems. The X60 is a 100 gallon system.
Do you need a stainless system, or will a cheap pitcher do?
If you make a quart at a time for yourself, a mason jar or countertop pitcher is the cheaper buy. Our guide to making cold brew coffee at home walks through the mason jar, French press and decanter methods. A stainless system makes sense when you brew in gallons, fill kegs, or are tired of replacing filter bags. The vessel also works as a brew kettle for hot or cold brewed tea and kombucha.
