Using the mini CO2 regulators should be fairly straightforward, but here are a few things to keep in mind as you start using them.
Simply thread the 74 gram CO2 cartridge with the regulator in the off position (rotated fully clockwise), then open the valve to adjust the output pressure.
There is not a shut off valve here, so threading the cartridge into the regulator needs to be done fairly quickly to avoid loss of CO2.
Another thing to note is the flare threaded connection. This kit is sold with a ball lock quick disconnect (DC201) which includes a flare washer tip, needed to seal. If swapped for another flare device (such as a stainless barb adapter), it will likely require a separate flare washer TPW100.

The regulator has a range of .5-1.5 bars (7-21 psi). This means that, unlike a button-activated CO2 injector that shoots in CO2 at a fixed pressure, the mini-reg allows you precisely dial in pressure and keep it there. It utilizes a disposable 74 gram CO2 cartridge, which is the largest size that can be shipped full. This is a two stage mini-regulator, meaning that it takes the pressure down from 800 psi (cartridge pressure) to a lower pressure and then to your set pressure of around 10 psi. Two stage regulators are the only way to have consistent pressure. One 74 gram cartridge will typically dispense one 5 gallon keg.
