Backflow Preventer with Strainer (3/8" FPT x 3/8" MFL)
This backflow preventer stops carbonated water and CO2 from flowing back into your copper water supply. It's a standard requirement for soda fountains, carbonators, and coffee machines to prevent the acidic carbonated water from corroding your plumbing lines. The dual-check design provides two layers of protection, ensuring your fresh water stays clean.
This 3/8" dual check valve backflow preventer, equipped with an atmospheric port and built-in strainer, is designed for carbonated beverage systems. It stops contaminated water—such as carbon dioxide gas or carbonated water—from flowing backward into the potable water supply under backpressure conditions. The unit features a durable stainless steel body with internal rubber components and is suitable for both continuous and intermittent pressure applications. Its atmospheric port offers a visual alert if the second check fails, and the integrated wye-pattern strainer helps protect the system. Ideal for post-mix soda systems as well as tea and coffee dispensing equipment, it comes with a female NPT inlet and an SAE male flare outlet. Maximum working pressure: 150 psi (10 bar).
