Highlights
- Adapts standard 9.5 mm (3/8") female Duotight ports to accept 8 mm (5/16") OD tubing.
- Dual internal EPDM O-rings create redundant seals against gas and liquid leaks.
- Tolerates tight line bend radiuses without weeping or breaking airtight contact.
- Tool-free push-in connection eliminates the need for hose clamps or swivel nuts.
- Compatible with rigid 8 mm EVABarrier line and standard draft equipment.
Duotight 9.5 mm (3/8") Stem to 8 mm (5/16") Push-In Reducer
This reducer stem lets you step down any 9.5 mm (3/8") female push-in port so it can accept 8 mm (5/16") outer diameter tubing. If your draft setup already uses 9.5 mm ball lock disconnects, regulator splitters, or shank adapters, you don't need to replace those components just to run smaller beverage or gas line. Insert the 9.5 mm rigid male stem directly into the existing female fitting, and you're ready to plug in 8 mm OD EVABarrier line.
Reliable Double O-Ring Sealing
Standard push-in fittings rely on a single internal seal, which can leak if the tubing gets pulled sideways or routed around a tight corner inside your kegerator collar. Duotight fittings use two EPDM rubber O-rings in the female port. This redundant sealing surface maintains an airtight hold even under line tension or sharp bending angles.
The internal O-rings are molded from food-grade EPDM, which provides superior resistance to beverage line cleaners and standard sanitizers compared to generic vinyl or silicone seals. EPDM also has very low gas permeability, making it well-suited for high-pressure CO2 and nitrogen draft setups.
Installation and Maintenance Tips
To ensure a leak-free seal, always cut your tubing flat across using a sharp hose cutter rather than utility shears. Angled cuts can damage the internal O-rings or prevent the tube from seating fully against the interior stop. To install, push the line firmly into the collet until you feel it slide past both internal O-rings. Removing the line or fitting takes seconds: depress the outer collet ring toward the fitting body with your fingers and pull the stem or tube free.
