This is the genuine Atosa PPM1023 overload switch for the Atosa PPM-10 PrepPal planetary bench mixer. It is the motor overload protection in the mixer: when the motor is working too hard, the switch trips and shuts the mixer off.

To confirm the fit, match the part number PPM1023, or check the model number on your mixer's data plate. This switch is for the PPM-10. The larger Atosa PPM-20 and PPM-30 mixers use their own overload switch numbers, so do not order this one for those models.

If your PPM-10 stops mid-batch, press the stop button and then the reset button. If the overload keeps tripping, cut back the batch size or adjust the recipe before looking at the switch itself. Heavy loads should not be mixed for more than fifteen minutes at a stretch without letting the mixer rest.
