The feeder pan lifts off the feed chute for cleaning. Unplug the grinder, remove the pan, and wash it with a mild detergent and warm water solution to cut the fat, then let it air dry. If your pan is cracked or broken, it gets harder to clean and sanitize properly, and replacing it keeps the unit in good sanitary shape.
