This is a replacement lid for ball lock (Corny) kegs, and it's built around a floating dip tube that solves one of the most common problems with keg dispensing: pulling sediment, yeast, or dry-hop debris into your beer line. Instead of drawing liquid from the bottom of the keg where all the junk settles, the floating dip tube pulls from just below the surface where the beer is cleanest.

The lid uses a liquid ball lock post with a short dip tube on the underside. A length of flexible siphon hose attaches to that post and runs to a stainless steel float, so as the beer level drops, the pickup point drops with it. You keep pulling clear beer right down to the last few ounces.

On the end of the float you'll find a fine mesh stainless steel filter basket. It catches particulate before it ever reaches the dip tube, so hop pellets, trub, and yeast stay in the keg instead of clogging your poppet or ending up in the glass.
