The PPM-10 has three fixed speeds: first (low) for heavy dough and batter, second (medium), and third (high) for whipping cream and egg whites. You change speed by lifting or lowering the speed control lever, and only with the mixer stopped. If the handle is cracked, loose or missing, this is the part that replaces it.
To confirm the fit, match the part number PPM1010 and check that your mixer is a PPM-10. The PPM-20 and PPM-30 mixers use different speed handle part numbers, so this one is for the PPM-10 only.
