To confirm the fit, match the model number on your mixer to PPM-10 and the part number to PPM1004. The PPM-20 and PPM-30 floor mixers use different guard part numbers, so this guard is for the PPM-10 only.

The guard works with the mixer's safety switch, which is why it should close fully before you start the mixer. Atosa's operating instructions also warn against forcing the guard open or closed, since excessive force can damage the spring lock and the guard micro switch. If the guard itself is cracked, bent or won't swing freely, replacing it restores normal use of the bowl.

Check that the micro switch is intact when you swap the guard, since the two work as a pair.
