NSF Certified Filtration That Protects Ice Machines and Ice Quality

The HF40-S cartridge is NSF certified under Standard 401 for microplastics reduction, and it's built to knock down sediment, chlorine taste and odor, cysts like Cryptosporidium, and up to 99.99 percent of common bacteria. A built-in scale inhibitor keeps calcium and magnesium from precipitating onto evaporator plates as hard scale, which is one of the most common reasons ice machines need service calls.

Sized for High-Volume Ice Production

This system is rated to support commercial cubers up to 1,000 lbs per day and flakers or nugget machines up to 1,800 lbs per day, so it's a good match for busy bars, restaurants, and hotels running larger equipment. Maximum operating pressure is 125 PSI and maximum water temperature is 100 F.

Easy Cartridge Changes on the 3M HF40-S Replacement Filter

The Sanitary Quick Change design means the cartridge locks in and out with a quarter turn, no tools and no mess. Most operators replace the HF40-S every 9 to 12 months, depending on local water quality, and it's one of the most common replacement filters we sell for high-capacity ice machine systems.
